Ensuring the continuity of education in difficult times using online learning

Likewise, teachers can keep on with conducting their lectures and educating the younger generation. It provides the flexibility and accessibility they need to ensure normalcy in their day-to-day routine. With the use of CYPHER, students don’t have to be held back a year from their education. They only need internet connectivity and a device to attend school again. In this way, physical distance and location won’t be an issue for both students and teachers.

Dr. Emily Mabborang, Elementary Principal: In the face-to-face classes, we would have spent 2 or 3 hours grading each exam by hand. However, now that we use the platform, I've found that this grading takes just one or two minutes because the platform provides us with the answers.

Of course, face-to-face teaching is also an important aspect of the educational process. However, this time span has also shown how learning in a virtual environment can offer unique benefits and be a more open, engaging, and inclusive choice for students who benefit from nontraditional learning methods.

Jonalyn Santos, Instructor: It was not hard at all to transition from face to face to full online because we have been using the platform for a while already even before the pandemic. And thanks to CYPHER, we did not have to worry about what to do or how to deliver our lessons anymore, even in the middle of the lockdown last year.

We, teachers, may use this feature to build games for our classes, learning paths, and site-wide games. Gamification is based on automation, which is a powerful function that allows us to easily activate actions such as awarding badges and points to students for completing classroom tasks.

Jonalyn Santos, Instructor: The best feature for me is the automatic checking of outputs and the gradebook. It’s very useful to us because it makes our work easier.

Ryan Corpuz, Student: Some of the most impressive benefits of online learning are its convenience and portability. It is convenient in the sense that you don't have to go to places to find information. Instead, you can use search engines to do so. On the other hand, portability in the sense that it is all handheld, you can use any type of gadget ranging from cell phones to desktop computers. Overall those are the best benefits of online learning.

Shannel Atal, Student: One of the benefits I like the most about online learning is that it gave me access to studying in my own time. I get to adjust the things I do according to my own schedule, making the product of my work to be better.

Ryan Corpuz, Student: CYPHER presents the most basic modality in online learning. It is easy to use and navigate. In my own experience, I can say that CYPHER is a user-friendly learning platform.

Shannel Atal, Student: CYPHER gave great assistance to us online learners this school year. It was easy to operate and user friendly. Both assessments to be done and the ones that are done are organized in a good way for the students' eyes. I also like that we can see announcements quickly and get notified when teachers post comments or have graded our outputs. It makes the job easier.
